The main aim of the Embassy of Finland is to uphold and strengthen the relations between Finland and the United Republic of Tanzania as well as the relations between Finland and Burundi, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Emphasis is put on the support to the development of Tanzania and Zanzibar. The support is implemented through one of Finland's largest bilateral development cooperation country programmes.
Furthermore, the Embassy promotes the networking of Tanzanian and Finnish citizens, institutions and business partners. Consular and other assistance is also given to Finnish citizens in the country.
